What is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner?
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners focus on the primary health care needs of women across the lifespan – from adolescence through menopause and beyond, with an emphasis on reproductive-gynecologic health. They are specialists in the field of womens’ health, addressing a range of women’s health issues, including normal pregnancy and prenatal management, family planning, well woman health care, uro-gynecology, aesthetics, and menopause. Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners have a strong emphasis on health promotion and maintaining wellness.
